Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her in honor of the town she grew up in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a voracious book reader because there was no TV. When she turned 12 years old, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take classes in acting. When she was 15, Ryder was offered a part in Lucas, her first major film. Ryder suffered bullying in high school. Ryder had hoped that her profession as a performer would be a positive change. But sadly, it did not work out. The actress continued to chase her goals. She made her debut in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder performed in a number of roles that were successful for many films. In 1993 she received two nominations in the Academy Awards. One of was for her performance in The Age of Innocence.
