Annika Charlotta Sorenstam is an Swedish pro golfer. Her name is regarded as the greatest golfer in history. In the years prior to her retirement from golf professionally in 2008 She won 90 golf tournaments globally as a professional. She was one of the women golfers with the most wins. Annika Sorenstam is a well-known golfer in Sweden that is well-known for her exceptional results on the female circuit of golf. She left golf in 2008 in the days before her season had ended. As a result of her numerous international championships, she is considered the most successful female golfer in history. Annika was a winner of 72 LPGA tournaments as well as 10 majors, and 18 other tournaments throughout the world. Annika was born in the year 70 on October 9th and celebrated her 50th anniversary in 2020. Tom and Gunilla are the parents of Annika. Tom is a former IBM executive. Her mother worked for a bank. Her sister is a pro golfer as well as coach at Annika Academy. Both were the first females to earn one million dollars through the LPGA. Mike McGee is her husband and they have two sons, Madelyn McGee & William Nicholas McGee. Both Annika and Mike got married on the 10th January, 2009. Annika was a golfer by nature from her early childhood. She also played junior soccer and was national tennis champion. She was an excellent skier as well, which inspired their family to Sweden to pursue this professional sport. In 1994she became a qualifier for the LPGA Final Tournament. She won the first ever professional ALPG Tour Australia. Annika was among the top three finishes and won the LPGA rookie of the year. Annika was the winner of her first LPGA Tour tournament in 1995, the US Women Open. She was the only non-American player to win this Vare trophy. Also, Annika was also named the number one in the Money list. She decided to walk away from the competition in the 2008 season. That night she toss the first ball of the game's baseball. Her most recent win came in an elimination match at Suzhou Taihu. Suzhou Taihu ladies' open. Ladies European Tour, Ladies Asian Tour supported the tournament.
