Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on 9 August 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. Whitney's mother and her began to sing professionally together in the church of New Hope Baptist in Newark at the age of fifteen years old. The two sang backing vocals on Chaka Khan's track in 1978 Im Every Woman. She went on to provide backing vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her own mother and did a brief stint as a model appearing on the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her first gig was as a featured vocalist for the New York-based funk band Material and it was the high quality of her vocal work with them that attracted the attention of several major record labels, including Arista who signed her in 1983 and where she stayed for the rest the duration of her career. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the most-sold album by the debut artist. The album All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one smash. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies and then increased to 25 million world-wide. The album brought her first of her six Grammy Awards. The Whitney 1987 record, with The album's tracks, such as Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as popular songs, was a way to build on the success she had achieved. However, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard sealed her spot in the top 20 most-sellers in history. The film, and her performance in it was not appreciated, but the music and her interpretation of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You were charting for months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums all over the world. In the same year she had her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. At this point, her drug abuse was documented, and she began using daily until 1996.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman and reporter for the political section of CNN. Her past work includes NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Her productions include certain shows on CNN's weekends like Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Her awards and accolades include being named to the Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. She's known for her incredible anchoring/reporting abilities and she's highly regarded by younger journalists. Her one child is her greatest joy in life. She was married twice, but is currently married. Bash has a huge love for all of her fans.
